This hook has a much larger bend or "Gape" and is ideal for bulkier baits such as squid or crab, as the point doesn't get masked by the bait. Most anglers use these in sizes 3/0 for general fishing but step them up to a 4/0 or even a 5/0 for Bass or Rays during the summer months.
